One Love Yoga: is a call to return to the heart. In purposeful play, fluid breath and creative vinyasa we will connect again to our bodies as essential participants in the Natural World, to both heal and be healed in embodied ritual. All levels yoga. Shakti will be offering One Love Yoga during Weeks One and Three of SCBali 2013.
Week One, April 3-10 Foundations: 360 Degrees. Discover your full range of movement possibility - even as a beginner! This workshop is about finding your freedom in dance technique and getting there right away.
Explorations: Moment to Moment Holds, Links, In- between Spaces In this class we will explore the space between the movement, concentrating on trick development and drills that will illuminate the keys to fluid hoopdance technique in the context of challenging new material.
Concepts: Integral-Flow-Creating Choreography Get to ready to play and to laugh in this thought-provoking and interactive workshop block. We will build simple sequences of movement that are unique to you! Focusing on integration in dance flow that you just may be inspired to share.
Week Three, April 21-28
Alchemy of Elements: Setting the Tone. This class will be a guided movement experience that will lead us through the archetypical qualities of the four main elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth both within and without. We will be invited to sync up with or attune to our innate capacities for alchemy, transmutation and the power of play. Both conceptually in the hoop, and viscerally in our bodies.
One Hoop One Love: Integration. Together in the space of community and shared experience, we will systematically move through the breadth of hoopdance movement possibility in an effort to excavate, to inspire, and to move us out of stuck patterns into the new. We will explore new trick vocabulary and co-create circuits of continuous movement to help us to integrate into flow.
