SC at the Water Temple in Tampak Siring

This year, we had the awesome opportunity to visit the Water Temple at Tampak Siring, a small village about 20 minutes north of Ubud in Bali. Water temples are sacred places for the Balinese who thoroughly believe in the deep-soul cleansing properties of water. There are thirteen spouts at the Tampak Siring temple; each with different qualities and healing capabilities. Local people stand in long lines to be cleansed on auspicious dates in the Balinese calendar. Everyone moves respectfully and ritualistically from spout to spout, accepting the varied water frequencies and opening to the power of nature to heal and renew. Plus, it's fun! Entire families go for cleansing and a good time is had by all.
